Gas flap lock

The wireless controlled locking systems are mostly designed with an electromagnetic coil, actuating a lock latch. This coil can generate a small spark, on power-up.

Yet, the gas duct is full of gas vapor, which can ignite on contact with a spark.

So it is necessary to put the electromagnetic lock actuator away from the gas flap, and to add a mechanical system to transfer the translation movement of the actuator.

Delta Concept has designed a control system which replaces the electromagnetic coil by a bimetal, associated with a special thermistor. This system is guaranteed without sparking. So it prevents from mechanical components dedicated to movement transfer, and allows to mount the actuator right into the flap.
